We may collect and store personal information about other people that is available to us through your Facebook login, namely the name and picture of certain of your Facebook friends as follows: we will only share this information with other JSwipe users who are already friends with your Facebook friend and who already have access to such information.
JSwipe is a location based mobile dating application that helps you find Jewish singles nearby. While the JSwipe application is in use, we keep track of your location information (e.g. by using the GPS on your mobile device), to provide the functionality of our service. Please keep in mind that other JSwipe users can see this information about you, and they may use it or disclose it to other individuals or entities outside of our control, and without our knowledge. Your information may be subject to abuse, misuse, or monitoring by others, and you share this information at your own risk. Unless you turn off your location services, we will collect your location information, and by using our service, you consent to our collection, storage, and analysis of your location data.
JSwipe is owned by Spark Neworks, Inc., which owns a portfolio of dating websites and applications, including, without limitation, JDate and Faith.com. We may obtain both personal and non-personal information about you from other Spark Networks, Inc. businesses.
We use various technologies to collect information from your device and about your activities on our Service. We automatically collect information from your browser or device when you visit our Service. This information could include your IP address, device ID and type, your browser type and language, the operating system used by your device, access times, your mobile device’s geographic location while our application is actively running, and the referring website address. When you access the Service, we may send one or more cookies and small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters to your computer or device. JSwipe may use both session cookies and persistent cookies. A session cookie disappears after you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains after you close your browser and may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the Service. Persistent cookies can be removed. Please review your web browser 'Help' file to learn the proper way to modify your cookie settings. JSwipe does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals. In order to recognize you, store your preferences, and track your use of our application, we may store your mobile device IDs (the unique identifier assigned to a device by the manufacturer) when you use the JSwipe application. Unlike cookies, device IDs cannot be deleted.
When you use our Service, we receive and store certain personally non-identifiable information. Such information, which is collected passively using various technologies, cannot presently be used to specifically identify you. JSwipe may store such information itself or such information may be included in databases owned and maintained by JSwipe affiliates, agents or service providers. This Service may use such information and pool it with other information to track, for example, the total number of users of our services, or analyzing trends in downloads, invites, or messaging, for instance. JSwipe may occasionally conduct research on customer demographics by aggregating individual data of our users. JSwipe may share this non-identifiable and aggregate data with its affiliates, agents, and business partners, but this type of aggregated data does not identify you personally.

When you register as a user of JSwipe, your JSwipe profile will be viewable by other users of the Service.
We may use and share non-personal information we collect under any of the above circumstances. We may also share it with other Spark Networks, Inc. companies and third parties to develop and deliver targeted advertising on our Service and on websites or applications of third parties, and to analyze and report on advertising you see. We may combine non-personal information we collect with additional non-personal information collected from other sources. We also may share aggregated, non-personal information, or personal information in hashed, non-human readable form, with third parties, including advisors, advertisers and investors, for the purpose of conducting general business analysis, advertising, marketing, or other business purposes.

JSwipe takes reasonable steps to protect the Personal Information provided via the Service from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no Internet, email or other electronic transmission is ever fully secure or error free, so you should take special care in deciding what information you send to us in this way.
We may elect to share information about you with certain third parties that offer services that are supportive of or related to the Jewish community for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes. California Civil Code § 1798.83 permits California residents who have supplied personal information (as defined in the law) to us to, under certain circumstances, request and obtain certain information regarding our disclosure, if any, of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. If this law applies to you, you may obtain the categories of personal information shared by us and the names and addresses of all third parties that received personal information for their direct marketing purposes from us during the immediately prior calendar year (e.g., requests made in 2019 will receive information about 2018 sharing activities). To make such a request, please provide sufficient information for us to determine if this applies to you, attest to the fact that you are a California resident and provide a current California address for our response.
